The Lady Vikings competed tough in rainy conditions Thursday evening at the Eastern Hancock Invitational. They finished 2nd overall. The top six individuals in each event scored along with the the top 5 relay teams. Ally Madden earned athlete of the meet with three second place finishes and a leg of the 4×400 relay. The Vikings had two first place medalists, Brooke Taylor in shot, and Alexis Whitinger in the 3200.
Scoring for the Vikings:
Ally Madden- 2nd in high jump, 2nd in shot put, 2nd in 400, 5th 4×400 relay
Alexis Whitinger- 1st in 3200, 3rd in 1600, 3rd in high jump, 5th in 4×400 relay
Joslynn Witham- 2nd in 100 hurdles, 4th in 300 hurdles, 5th in long jump
Mallory Cross- 2nd in 300 hurdles, 5th in 1600 relay
Brooke Taylor- 1st in shot put
Emma Blackburn- Tie for 6th in 100m, 5th in 4×400 relay
Emma Claar- 6th in discus
Brylee Kanouse, Ashley Ooten, Jamie Kernel, Angelina Grasse- 3rd in 4×800 relay
The Vikings compete at the Henry County meet on Tuesday.
