Lady Viking Basketball Season Comes to an End

The Lady Vikings Basketball season came to an end last Tuesday evening with a 57-32 loss to Union City in the Randolph Southern Sectional.  The Vikings were led in scoring by Brenna Koontz.

Lady Bowlers Regional Champions

The Viking Lady Bowlers fought back and won the New Castle Bowling Regional and earned a trip to the Anderson Semi-State next Saturday.  Lily Rutherford and Haley Tucker also advanced to the Semi-State in singles action.    

Wrestlers Season Ends

The high school wrestling season ended Saturday as Cody Delk and Luke Pope were defeated in the first round of the Richmond Regional.  Both wrestlers are just sophomores and with the rest of the team returning next season, it should make for an even better year next season.  

Viking 7th Grade finishes 3rd in Henry County Tourney.

The Blue River Valley 7th grade basketball team completed their season by finishing 3rd in the Henry County Basketball Tourney held at Blue River Jr-Sr High School. The Vikings lost their first game to eventual county champ Shenandoah by the score of 45-34. The team bounced back and defeated Tri soundly in the consolation game


The Vikings trailed for most of the game but fought back in the 4th quarter to trail by only 2.  Turnovers were a killer and the Vikings come up short by the score of 52_56.  Boys travel to Hagerstown Friday evening.

Lady Vikings Hold Off Seton Catholic

The Lady Vikings jumped out to an early lead and led at halftime 25-18.  The Vikings came out and stretched the lead to 10, only to let the Cardinals of Seton fight back into and cut the lead to 1.  The Vikings hit a couple 3″s and again pulled it out in the end by


The Lady Viking Bowlers remain undefeated at 9-0 and are currently ranked #10 in team average in the state while Lily Rutherford is ranked #4 in scoring average and secured the MVB at last weeks match.
